Emirates Industrial Panel (EIP) has commissioned a new 458 kWp rooftop solar power plant to support its manufacturing operations with cleaner, renewable energy. The facility was officially inaugurated on 3rd July 2026 by Nizar Taha, Executive Chairman of TIG Holding, together with Sumayya Taha, Strategy & Business Excellence Director, and Claudio Fabiani, General Manager of Emirates Industrial Panel (EIP).

Developed in partnership with Positive Zero, the rooftop solar project represents one of EIP’s most significant sustainability investments to date, reinforcing the company’s commitment to responsible manufacturing, operational efficiency and cleaner energy solutions.

Manufacturing has traditionally been measured by what leaves the factory floor. Increasingly, it is also defined by the decisions made behind the production line: how energy is sourced, how resources are managed and how environmental impacts are reduced.

At EIP, sustainability has long been embedded in the company’s operational philosophy. Cleaner Energy for EIP’s Manufacturing Operations

With an installed capacity of 458 kWp, the rooftop solar plant is expected to generate approximately 760,690 kWh of clean electricity each year.

The electricity generated will directly support EIP’s manufacturing activities. This will reduce the facility’s dependence on electricity from the grid and improve the environmental performance associated with every insulated panel manufactured at the plant.

The project also strengthens operational resilience by integrating renewable electricity into the company’s day-to-day production processes.

The solar power plant was designed, financed and implemented in partnership with Positive Zero, supporting EIP’s long-term sustainability objectives while allowing the company to integrate renewable energy into its manufacturing operations without compromising operational reliability.

Long-Term Environmental Impact

Over the lease period, the rooftop solar installation is expected to generate approximately 11.4 GWh of renewable electricity, significantly reducing dependence on conventional grid power.

Across its lifetime, the project is expected to prevent approximately 7,666 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, delivering measurable environmental benefits while supporting more sustainable manufacturing.

Aligning Product Performance with Responsible Manufacturing

EIP has built its reputation by manufacturing insulated sandwich panels for cold stores, industrial facilities, warehouses, processing plants and other temperature-controlled applications.

These systems help improve the thermal performance of buildings, reduce unwanted heat transfer and support more efficient temperature management. Producing these solutions with cleaner electricity strengthens their wider environmental value across the product life cycle.

The solar power project therefore represents more than an alternative source of electricity. It creates stronger alignment between the performance of EIP’s products and the manufacturing practices used to produce them.

Supporting a Lower-Carbon Industrial Economy

The investment forms part of a broader direction for EIP. Operational efficiency, responsible resource management and emissions reduction are increasingly influencing decisions across the manufacturing sector.

By integrating these principles into its operations, EIP is strengthening its ability to manufacture efficiently while continuing to serve customers in more than 60 countries.

The project also supports the direction of the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategy, which is advancing the country’s transition toward a competitive, lower-carbon economy through cleaner energy and coordinated action across industries.
